Finding and booking reputable private tours can be especially overwhelming when heading to a new and unfamiliar city or country. When you don't have recommendations from friends and all you can do is search, how can you find good private tours (including transportation), not to mention the best rates?

Step 1: Visit TripAdvisor.com. Once you have landed on the site, click on the "Things to do" tab at the destination you will be visiting.
Step 2: Find the Tours category. Now TripAdvisor tries to get you to book through their site, first listing all the attractions with booking options. Skip all of that and scroll to the bottom of the page. Find and click "Tours" under "Types of things to do" in the destination you will be visiting.
Step 3: Select Private Tours. You will now be on a page with a complete list of tour options. Once again, on its new landing page, TripAdvisor will try to get you to book its partners first. Instead, use the column on the left and select "Private Tours" as this is specifically what you are looking for and will limit your options.
Step 4: select the best tours reviewed. Again, TripAdvisor will give you options to buy directly from them. Note that at the top of the lists are two tabs - the first is Book Online, which you may have landed on by default. Select "Best Reviewed" which now lists tours based entirely on those with go to this website the best reviews from real travelers. If you select an operator in the top 1 to 10 percent of the ratings, you will find that the operator is very good and has the best quality transportation and guides.
Step 5: select the companies to contact. Now that you're on the tour list, you'll want to select 10-15 to send an email. On our trip to Cape Town, I started my search and noticed 692 tours. That number can be overwhelming, but, checking only those in the top 1 or 2 percent, it brought down my numbers. For example, looking at a company called Finding Cape Fusion, I can quickly see that they have 303 reviews and 98 percent of them have been rated excellent. You can trust that it will be a good company to work for.
TripAdvisor provides links to tour operator websites, so you can click on the ones that seem to suit your needs and check to see if they still seem like an operator you would like to use. If so, use the email link provided on the TripAdvisor page to contact the company.
Step 6: Email multiple companies. It seems to me that contacting 10-15 operators will guarantee enough responses to decide and book, but if you don't get many responses then look for the next 10-15 companies on the list.
Step 7: Choose a provider! After reviewing all the options and prices provided, you can negotiate with the companies to get exactly what you want at an acceptable price for Santorini Summer Tours.
